Years ago God placed a call on our
hearts to simplify. To un-clutter not
only the closets and shelves of our home, but those of our hearts also. This
un-cluttering lead us to filling our home and lives with only those things we
felt God calling us to. We do have a
peaceful home, and unlike many, our calendars are clear of social engagements
and commitments.
God has called us to take one more
step. No more food that is polluting
our system. No more chemicals that
poison and make problems of their own.
Even medicine can be misused or over used. Some days the medicine I have been taking has made me feel worse
than the problem itself. I have had
years of treating symptoms, its time to treat the cause. It is requiring some sacrifice and a life
change.
We have rid our home of all
fragrances, soaps, detergents… many of these items were purely for vanity sake,
and they were poisoning not only my family but also friends and myself who came
to visit. A statement made on another
website made me shake my head and wonder how I could have been so blind, so
gullible. “Chemicals are not romantic!” We spray toxic, poisonous chemicals on
ourselves to ‘smell’ better and teach our daughters by example to do the
same. Hide those natural smells and
odors even at the cost of health and life.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my
ways, saith the LORD.
Isaiah 55: 8
We are finding God’s Abundance not through more, but through
less.
