Welcome to
Celebrating Passover
And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever
-Exodus 12:14
If you are interested in celebrating the Passover with family or friends, we are including here the resources to help you do so.
One BIG something we would like to remind you of is Passover is about setting captives free! Don’t get bound up in the preparation/traditions and miss the heart of this very special feast. If you want to celebrate do what works for you and your family. There are many lessons to be learned from this feast, from the preparations to the actual celebrating. But don’t work yourself so hard that by the day of the celebration you are too exhausted to enjoy it. Don’t become captive by tradition.
We are including a Haggadah we have written for our own use. If you have studied how many celebrate you will find that we have left some observances out, other observances we may have included that others do not. Use it with our blessing in whatever way you desire, just not for monetary profit. It is our desire to share for free.
You will need Acrobat Reader to print the following files. To get it free, click on the Acrobat Reader below:

You will need to understand how your printer works as the pages are meant to be printed on both sides (page 1 prints on the back of title page... Need some help in printing the Haggadah...click here. After printing either staple, punch holes and tie with ribbon, or use a plastic comb binding.
Same Haggadah as above except pages included pictures for the younger children to color.
A little devotional and coloring page to share with your children.

What You Will Need To Celebrate
Click here to print off a copy of the "What You Will Need To Celebrate" list.
A Seder Platter (in years passed we have used a paper plate that Roxanne has colored) on this plate you will place the Bitter Herbs, Karpas, Charoset, and shank bone or crafted lamb
Bitter Herbs (Horseradish)
Karpas (parsley or celery)
Matzah (a crisp, flat, unleavened bread, made with flour and water)
Charoset (a mixture of apples, nuts, and grape juice) click here for a simple recipe
Many will include a Shank Bone of a lamb for the center of the plate. We used the same bone year after year, until loosing it in a move from Connecticut to Texas. We now just put a lamb (one Roxanne crafted) in the center to remind us of Jesus, the ultimate sacrifice
Small bowl/s of salty water to dip Karpas into
Goblet or juice glass for each person
Grape Juice or Wine
Large bowl with water
Matzah Tash (container which holds the 3 pieces of matzah. you can simple place the pieces between three napkins if desired. We made our own. For very simple instructions click here
Extra napkin to wrap the Afikoman in
Candle/s and candle/s holder plus matches
Copy/s of the Haggadah
Copy/s of Dayenu
If you are feeling a bit vague on what exactly this celebration is about, a read through the Haggadah should help bring understanding.
